I had a revelation, and in that revelation, I saw a great tree. Its branches stretched out wide, filled with lush green leaves that whispered in the wind. Beneath that tree was a tap of water, flowing with a steady stream. Yet, what struck me was the fear in the eyes of the people around. They would not approach the tap. They hesitated, whispered among themselves, and held back. Among them were students clad in uniform, warning me that only those with the right authority could drink from that water.
But something within me stirred. I felt an undeniable pull, a knowing deep in my spirit. I walked forward in faith, cupped my hands, and drank. The water was unlike anything I had ever tasted. It was life itself, pure and powerful. Then, I saw a person—weak, frail, and sick—come forward. With trembling hands, they bent down, drank from the same tap, and before my eyes, they transformed. Strength returned to their limbs, their face shone with renewed vigor, and they became younger and stronger. It was then that I understood: this was no ordinary water. This was the water of life.
When I woke up, the dream lingered in my spirit. I sought the Lord in prayer, asking for His revelation. What was He showing me? What was the meaning of the tree, the water, and the fear that kept people away?
The Tree: The Presence of God and Divine Covering
In Scripture, trees often symbolize life, righteousness, and divine provision. Psalm 1:3 says, “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” The tree in my dream stood tall, strong, and full of life—just as God’s presence provides shade and covering for His people. It reminded me of the Tree of Life in the Garden of Eden, which stood as a representation of eternal sustenance (Genesis 2:9).
This tree in my dream was not just an ordinary tree; it was a symbol of the abiding presence of God, a place of divine refuge. Its leaves, many and flourishing, reflected the fullness of God’s wisdom and the nourishment He provides to those who dwell in Him.
The Tap of Water: The Living Water of the Holy Spirit
Beneath the tree was the tap of water, yet people hesitated to drink from it. In John 4:14, Jesus said, “But whoever drinks of the water that I shall give him will never thirst. But the water that I shall give him will become in him a fountain of water springing up into everlasting life.” This was not just ordinary water; it was the living water—the Holy Spirit, the source of eternal life and spiritual renewal.
Why did people fear approaching it? Because spiritual revelation and divine encounters require faith. Many hesitate to step into the fullness of God’s presence due to doubt, fear, or feelings of unworthiness. Some think they need human permission to access what God has already freely given. The students in uniform, symbolizing religious systems and traditional teachings, warned that only those with the right authority could drink. But Jesus Himself said, “Let anyone who is thirsty come to me and drink” (John 7:37). The authority to drink is not given by men; it is given by Christ.
Stepping Forward in Faith: The Act of Trusting God
In my dream, I walked forward. I chose faith over fear, revelation over hesitation. This is what God calls us to do. He beckons us to draw near, to partake of His living water without fear. Hebrews 4:16 tells us, “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.”
When I drank from the water, I felt life enter me. It was as though my soul absorbed something beyond comprehension. And then, I witnessed something even greater—a sick person drinking and being restored.
This was a picture of the miraculous power of God. Just as the woman with the issue of blood was healed when she touched the hem of Jesus’ garment (Mark 5:25-34), so too was this person healed by faith. The water was available to all, but only those who stepped forward in belief received the miracle.
The Call to Trust in God’s Provision
This dream is not just for me; it is for anyone who has hesitated to approach God’s promises, anyone who has held back because of fear or the voices of those who say, “You are not qualified.” God is saying, “Come and drink.” He is calling His people to step beyond hesitation and into faith.
Perhaps you have been standing at the edge of something great—an anointing, a breakthrough, a deeper relationship with God—but you have allowed fear to hold you back. Perhaps voices around you have said, “This is not for you,” or, “You must first be qualified.” But the Lord is saying, “Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters” (Isaiah 55:1).
When Jesus died on the cross, the veil was torn. Access to the Father was no longer restricted to a select few. The living water is for all who are willing to come. Just as I stepped forward in my dream and drank, you too must take that step of faith. Just as the sick person in the dream was made whole by faith, so too can you receive healing, renewal, and strength from the presence of God.
A Prophetic Call to Drink from the Living Water
This dream was a prophetic call. It was an invitation from the Lord to trust in His provision, to step beyond fear, and to partake of what He freely offers. The tree represents His presence. The water represents His Spirit. The hesitation of the people represents the doubts and fears that keep many from receiving what is already available. The transformation of the sick person represents the power of faith in God’s promises.
Today, the call is the same. Will you come and drink? Will you trust that God has made a way for you? Will you step forward in faith, despite what others may say? The water is flowing, the invitation stands, and those who drink shall be renewed.
I drank, and I was filled. The sick person drank, and they were restored. Now, it is your turn. Come, and drink of the living water of Christ. “And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.” – Revelation 22:17
